Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens avoided any fines in his altercation with Cleveland Browns defensive back Greg Newsome on the final play of the team’s 24-19 loss last Thursday. Instead, Pickens and Newsome each did not get fined for the melee, and the NFL review found no wrongdoing.

Steelers wide receiver George Pickens said repeatedly during his media session Friday he was just there so he wouldn’t get fined when the subject of his postgame fight with Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II came up.

Both players from the Browns and Steelers received fines on Saturday from the Week 12 game in Cleveland. None were George Pickens nor Greg Newsome II.
