Comments of Bangladesh Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus's press secretary came in the wake of heightened tensions after the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das.

Johnnie Moore, former US Commissioner on International Religious Freedom in both Trump and Biden administrations and President Trump’s former Spiritual Advisor, has also said that the Yunus government is failing in curbing the violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh.
