Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary of Information, Sheikh Waqas Akram, has rejected recent reports claiming that the party is planning a fresh protest in Islamabad on December 7. Speaking in an interview on Express News's "Centre Stage" programme, Akram dismissed the claims as "false news."

He said over two hundred vehicles were impounded and weapons of different sorts including pistols and Klashinkovs were recovered from the protestors. The Inspector General said search operation is still continuing. He said terrorism will not be allowed under the guise of protest.

Frantic escape by party leaders during a security crackdown could hurt the PTI. But the government faces questions too.
