SunFed Produce, LLC has issued a voluntary recall for whole fresh American cucumbers due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recalled cucumbers were distributed to retailers nationwide, including New Jersey. The cucumbers would have reached consumers through foodservice and retail outlets.

Cucumbers shipped to the U.S. and Canada, and organic eggs sold in 25 Costco stores in five southern U.S. states, were recalled this week for potential salmonella contamination.

At least 68 people have fallen ill in the outbreak believed to be linked to cucumbers sold in the United States and Canada, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
