Freshman Liam McNeeley stepped up with 17 points and eight rebounds to help lead the No. 25 UConn men’s basketball team to a 76-72 win over No. 15 Baylor Wednesday.

With top scorer Alex Karaban sidelined by concussion, the UConn men's basketball team had several players step up in a big win over Baylor Wednesday.

Liam McNeeley recorded 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocks to lift No. 25 UConn to a 76-72 victory over No. 15 Baylor in a Big 12-Big East Battle on Wednesday in Storrs, Conn.

UConn also outpaced Baylor from the charity stripe, recording 26 points from the line to the Bears 12. The Huskies were led offensively by freshman Liam McNeeley who dropped 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocks in the win. Baylor was led by guard Robert Wright who went an impressive 9-15 from the field with four assists.
