Long-time PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida, lovingly known as Shu, has announced his departure from Sony after 31 years of service. Although understandable, the announcement came as a bit of a surprise and in a rather unconventional way: an interview with the PS Blog.

Sony’s head of independent development at PlayStation and long-time game development leader for the console maker, Shuhei Yoshida, is leaving the company after over three decades. He helped produce some of the PlayStation’s earliest hits before moving onto help lead the platform’s powerhouse first-party studios across multiple console generations.

A credible insider suggests that a big design change in the upcoming Xbox handheld console may allow it to natively run PlayStation games.

It's also mentioned in the report that Xbox is prototyping handheld consoles, which has been assumed but not confirmed by Microsoft so far. Recently, Xbox's Phil Spence r said he "loved" the idea of building a device in the future.

It’s said that the device builds on the PlayStation Portal, which was originally designed as something akin to this before moving to streaming.
