My Chemical Romance spoke out after former drummer Bob Bryar died at 44 years old. “The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob’s passing,” a spokesperson for the band said in a statement to Variety on Sunday. Mr. Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004. The band, led by the brothers Gerard and Mikey Way, had just released the record “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,” which went platinum and helped build a following among fans of emo and pop punk.
