Kelsey Plum is calling an audible when it comes to her participation in the new Unrivaled League. The Las Vegas Ace star was drafted by the Laces on Oct. 20 and a week later announced she would no longer be playing in the 3×3 league founded by the Liberty’s Breanna Stewart and the Lynx’s Napheesa Collier.

One of the WNBA's more recognizable talents dropped out of the upstart Unrivaled 3-on-3 league on Wednesday. Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum posted a story on her Instagram account in which she said that she was backing out of the league in order to free up her offseason schedule.

Las Vegas Aces All-Star guard Kelsey Plum has reconsidered her participation in Unrivaled Basketball and is sitting out the inaugural season of the newly formed 3-on-3 basketball league.

Unrivaled Basketball is a groundbreaking 3-on-3 women's professional basketball league founded by WNBA superstars and Olympic gold medalists Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. The league will begin play on Jan. 17, 2025 in Miami.

With Kelsey Plum withdrawing from Unrivaled before the start of the season, the 3v3 league will need to replace her spot, with Sophie Cunningham being a reasonable choice
