Seeking their first MLS Cup berth in 10 years, things did not come so easily against the Seattle Sounders. It took more than 85 minutes for the Galaxy to unlock Seattle’s organized approach, but Dejan Joveljic got on the end of a pass from Riqui Puig and beat Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei to lift the Galaxy to a 1-0 win.

The No. 2 Los Angeles Galaxy will face the No. 4 Seattle Sounders in the 2024 Western Conference Final. The Galaxy are the favorites among the four teams still left, having swept the Colorado Rapids in the first round before dominating the Minnesota United 6-2 in the conference semifinals.

The five-time MLS Cup winners squeezed past Seattle thanks to a Dejan Joveljic strike at Dignity Health Sport Park.
