Kansas continues to occupy the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll after being one of the few major programs to come away unscathed

Back-to-back NCAA Tournament champion UConn narrowly avoided falling out of the AP Top 25 college basketball poll entirely on Monday after an 0-3 week at the Maui Invitational in which it lost to three unranked teams in as many days.

It was the second time in AP poll history, according to ESPN Stats & Information, that AP-Top 5 teams lost at least five games in a calendar week in November (following Nov. 21-27 in 2021). Look at the rest of last week's AP Top 25 and there were more upsets and surprise results.

For context, UW received 666 points in Week 4 after securing wins over UT Rio Grande Valley, UCF and Pittsburgh from Nov. 18-24. Wisconsin’s Greenbrier Tip-Off-clinching win over Pitt, a team now ranked No. 18 in the poll, and 103-88 win over Arizona appear to hold some extra weight for voters.

So, it is no surprise that after an incredible weekend, Oregon has entered the AP Top 25 poll. The Ducks are now ranked 12th in the country, one of four Big Ten teams ranked. Oregon opens conference play on Wednesday, December 4th, when they hit the road to face USC (7:30 p.m., Big Ten Network).
