Season 1 of Wednesday finished filming on March 30, 2022. The show was not released until November 23, 2022. So, that’s another eight months of post-production work before the show is released, and that will put a likely Wednesday season 2 release date in July 2025, nearly three years after season 1 aired.

Season 2 has wrapped. Netflix announced the update in a new photo of star Jenna Ortega on set as Wednesday Addams. The caption reads, “Jenna Ortega closes the coffin on Wednesday Season 2. Coming 2025.

As well as returning stars such as Ortega and Zeta-Jones, Wednesday 's second season will welcome several new faces to the cast including Scoop 's Billie Piper as a new character named Capri, Fool Me Once 's Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Boardwalk Empire 's Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, plus Westworld star Thandiwe Newton as Dr Fairburn.
