On Thanksgiving, millions of moviegoers flocked to the theater to watch three blockbuster films. Millions of others stayed home to watch the Macy's parade or NFL games.

For the first time in Cedar Park High School dance team history, the Celebrities are strutting their way down the streets of New York for the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Celebrities have been performing in front of crowds at the Gupton Stadium for Friday Night Lights to make their way to the Big Apple.

Instead of lounging on the couch after Thanksgiving, Americans headed to movie theaters, as the premiere of Disney’s “Moana 2” and the draw of “Wicked” and “Gladiator II” provided a big boost to the domestic box office.

“MOANA 2 is setting a five-day opening and Thanksgiving record of $221M,” Deadline said, “WICKED became the highest grossing movie based on a Broadway musical ($263M) and will have the third best five-day take ($117.5M) over Thanksgiving while Paramount’s adult moviegoer destination GLADIATOR II is seeing $44M.”

Disney’s “Moana 2” cemented a new Thanksgiving box office record with $225 million over the five-day holiday frame, obliterating the previous high-water marks set by 2019’s “Frozen II” ($125 million) and 2013’s “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” ($109 million).
